Ripon Course Guide and Statistics
The course at Ripon
Ripon is a right-handed oval with a six-furlong straight course. It is known as the Garden Racecourse for its well-kept grounds. The track is sharp, with fairly tight bends.
Betting at Ripon
On the straight course, the draw can be significant in big fields, especially in the Great St Wilfrid handicap. The sharp bends favour horses that race prominently over longer trips. Local trainers often do well at the course.
