Sha Tin Course Guide and Statistics
The course at Sha Tin
Sha Tin is a right-handed course in Hong Kong's New Territories, with a turf course and an all-weather track. It stages most of Hong Kong's major races, usually on weekend afternoons, and is one of the world's busiest racecourses for betting.
Betting at Sha Tin
The draw is a major factor, especially over shorter distances, and horses drawn wide must race further or use early speed to find a position. Racing here is highly competitive, with fields often closely matched. The International Races in December attract top horses from around the world.
