The course at Longchamp
ParisLongchamp is a right-handed course in the Bois de Boulogne with several layouts, including a straight course for sprints. The main course has a famous false straight before the turn into the home straight. The grandstand was rebuilt and reopened in 2018.
Betting at Longchamp
The false straight catches out jockeys who kick too early, and horses that are settled and produced late often do best. The ground in October can be soft. A good draw near the inside rail is often an advantage in the Arc, especially in large fields.
